Strategy Mechanics
Why
You've posted consistently. You've followed the advice. And it still isn't working. You blame yourself … but it’s not you.
I'd put money on you quietly deciding that's your fault, that you're just not "good at" social media, or not funny enough, or you did the trending audio wrong somehow, or maybe you've decided you've been shadowbanned (an urban myth, by the way, but a comforting one). Or perhaps you just don't want to show up on camera, and that's fine, filming content is its own skillset and not everyone has the knack for it, but that doesn't mean there isn't space for you on social media. I genuinely believe there's a strategy for every single business, even a coach business, and yes, I do mean the actual coaches, the ones with wheels and a driver, not just the life coaches.
Would you spend thousands printing leaflets, then post them somewhere nobody could see them? No. But that's what most businesses are doing on social media, feeding content into a platform that's actively burying it, then wondering why nothing's happening. The algorithm isn't being cruel, it's doing its job, which is keeping people scrolling, and if your content isn't holding attention, it stops showing it to anyone. A newspaper wouldn't run boring stories and expect to sell papers, and social media works exactly the same way, minus the ink and the paper round. The gurus selling the £50 course conveniently leave this part out, because explaining it properly doesn't upsell you into anything. Your attention is their currency. Mine isn't for sale, I'd rather you actually understood what you were doing.
It's not you. Nobody's ever actually explained how any of this works, they've just told you to keep posting and see what sticks, which is not a strategy, it's a hobby with extra anxiety.
