About Me

I taught myself social media. Not from a course, not from a guru, not from a £50 template pack, I learned it the way you learn anything properly, by doing it, getting it wrong, and paying attention to why.

That self-taught approach won a BBC award, for a social media campaign about alcohol addiction, at a time when sobriety wasn't exactly a subject brands wanted anywhere near their feed. I took it on because it mattered, and I've stayed close to conversations around mental health and wellbeing ever since, it tends to show up in the work I choose, even when it isn't the headline.

My Story

Since then I've built accounts into the hundreds of thousands organically, spoken at TEDx, become an ambassador for NACOA, and been covered by British Vogue, the Telegraph, and BBC News.

I mention all of that not to impress you, but because it's proof I've actually done this, repeatedly, for real businesses, not just talked about it.

The other half of how I work comes from business consultancy, which is where I learned to read a business plan before I ever build a strategy.

Most people in this industry start with a content calendar. I start with your objectives, your budget, and what you're actually trying to achieve, then work backwards into what social media should be doing for you.

I don't specialise in an industry. I specialise in reading a business and building the strategy it actually needs, whether that's a wills firm, a clothing brand, or a sobriety coach. That range isn't a lack of focus, it's the whole skill, and it's why no two clients of mine ever get the same strategy.
